Atlanta –EduComm Expo (ECE) announced today that Ed Dickison, Manager of Communications Services at Notre Dame University and Josh Saiz, Analyst Programmer III & Adjunct Faculty at University of New Mexico will co-present a seminar securing a digital signage network at 10 a.m. on the second day of the Nov. 15-16, 2016 event at Chicago’s Navy Pier.
The presentation, entitled “Staying Off the 6 o’clock News: What You Need to Know About Keeping Your Digital Signage Safe,” will discuss how to secure a digital signage network from account and content management to player security.
Attendees will also learn:
• How to review their signage network layout and identify potential vulnerabilities.
• When it is important to lock down the network.
• How to keep their account and content management secure.
“Digital signage can be a very effective tool for communicating with students, faculty, staff and campus visitors, however if your system lacks the proper security, your digital signage communications network could quickly become an embarrassment by displaying something your organization would never want to have appear on your school’s digital signs,” said Dickison. “If you are responsible for planning, management or oversight for your campus-wide digital signage communications network, you should be aware of the issues and concerns related to securing your systems and content, which also means protecting your university’s brand.”
