ST. PAUL, Minnesota, Oct.19, 2017 — Ergotron, Inc., a leading provider of digital display mounting, furniture and mobility products, is proud to support the Thrive Center, a nonprofit organization located in Louisville, Kentucky, with the launch of its new Thrive Innovation Center, which will focus on the needs of the aging population. Aligning with the Center’s mission to transform the quality of life and quality of care through innovation, Ergotron is providing ergonomic mounting and technology furniture solutions to the Center to support caregivers and improve resident interaction with digital displays.
The Thrive Innovation Center is a thematic experience center that is open to the public. With an estimated five million Americans living with Alzheimer’s disease and that number expected to nearly triple by 2050 to 14 million, the Thrive Center has chosen Memory Care (dementia, Alzheimer’s disease and cognitive fitness) as its opening theme. Technology entrepreneurs and innovators were challenged to create programs and interactive experiences around the memory care theme, and Ergotron’s technology is helping to enable these experiences. Visitors to the Thrive Center will have an opportunity to learn of, and even sample, new technology, techniques and products, and it is expected that the organization will spur more innovation and research in this vital area.
“We are proud to be part of the Thrive Center’s initiative to enhance the care of our aging population and eager to be a part of creating the innovative care solutions that will result,” said Pete Segar, CEO of Ergotron. “We have been empowering caregivers and care staff for more than 35 years with ergonomic mounting and technology furniture and are uniquely qualified to help caregivers improve their quality of care.”
As part of this sponsorship, Ergotron has initially donated a broad range of products across the center to support digital signage, interactive displays and senior lifestyle improvement opportunities, including its Neo-Flex® Tilting Wall Mounts, MX Mini Wall Mount Arms, Lockable Tablet Mounts, Zido® medical carts, Glide Wall Mounts, Tablet Management Cart and the StyleView® Patient eTable.
“We are excited for the opening and encouraged by the collaboration and donations of key industry players. Our passion will drive the Thrive Center, and we openly embrace innovation as the means to transform senior care as we know it today,” said Thrive Center CEO and Executive Director, Sheri Rose.
In addition to the support from Ergotron and other key sponsors including Samsung, Intel, Aruba, a Hewlett Packard Enterprise Company and Lenovo, CDW Healthcare is the official technology sponsor of the new center, having provided IT solutions and services to create a robust and highly secure IT infrastructure for the center. CDW Healthcare also collaborated with technology providers and partners Samsung, Intel, Aruba, and Lenovo in building out and equipping the center.
The grand opening and ribbon cutting of the Thrive Innovation Center is taking place today, October 19, 2017, at 3:30 p.m. at 204 E. Market Street, Louisville, KY.
The Thrive Center expects to convene conversations and programs around senior care, where the entrepreneur can engage with the senior care industry, researcher and consumer. Ergotron will continue to support the Thrive Innovation Center and its caregivers as they work to transform the lives of the senior care population.
