In less than a week, the ribbon will be cut to open the exhibit hall floor, and DSE 2018 will officially be under way. You’ve probably already made at least a mental checklist of things to pack and things to do once you get to Las Vegas, but be sure to remember these last-minute tips for getting the most out of this year’s show.

Take advantage of networking opportunities
Whether at the free Networking Reception and APEX Awards Ceremony at the end Wednesday (5 p.m. in the Renaissance Las Vegas pool area and Ballroom), at industry vertical meetups or just connecting with other attendees in the exhibit hall, take some time to get to know your other attendees. You never know just who will turn into a long-term connection and digital signage ally. And with networking in mind…

Pack extra business cards
Over the course of the few days you’ll be in Las Vegas, you’ll make a number of connections and you don’t want to run out of business cards. Those after-DSE follow ups are key to continuing conversations started at the show.

Attend free education sessions
Whether you purchased a conference ticket or are simply walking the show floor, there are plenty of excellent education opportunities available to you. On both days that the show floor is open – Wednesday and Thursday – free workshops will take place in three on-floor theaters: the Best Practices Theater in the Central Park Pavilion (Booth 1231), the Digital Content Theater (Booth 2738) and the Mexico and Latin America Pavilion (Booth 2560).

Explore the whole hall
While you’re on the show floor, make sure to leave some time to explore all areas of the exhibit hall. While the bigger booths in the front of the hall will have some flashy new products, you’ll be sure to find lots of great new items and services throughout the hall. You’ll want to put Central Park, the Launch Pad, New Products Showcase, Digital Content Show, Self-Service Show on your must-see list.

Download the app
Finally, your best guide to the show floor will be in the palm of your hand. No matter what smartphone you use, the DSE app is available to you. Visit your phone’s app store and search “DSE 2018” or click here to download the app, which will put the conference schedule, exhibitor list and floor plan map at your fingertips.
