Highlights from Day One of DSE 2019


The theme of DSE 2019 is Transforming the Customer Experience, and the show kicked off with the its 14th Guided Installation Tour around Las Vegas at four locations (Marvel Avengers S.T.A.T.I.O.N., HyperX Esports Arena, The Forum Shops at Caesars Palace and a very special McDonald’s location) that exemplify that theme with immersive, interactive and innovative uses of digital signage and communications technology.

The day also included a welcome sign takeover at Terminal 1 of McCarran International Airport for NanoLumens, Lamar Advertising, and DSE before finishing at the Cosmopolitan for the VIP Reception … all while the most exciting exhibit hall in the show’s history got built. With an educational background combining film and journalism, Kushner has shot video and written for a myriad of publications and multimedia projects including Creative Loafing Tampa, TBO.com, Starline Films and Digital Signage Connection. His 2009 documentary American Colonies: Collapse of the Bee became an Official Selection at 12 international film festivals, won Best Documentary at the 2009 Central Florida Film Festival and a John Muir Gold Award at the 2009 Yosemite Film Festival.  In 2015, he became Digital Media Editor for Digital Signage Expo, LightShow West and LED Specifier Summit and has since become Digital Content Manager for those shows’ parent company, Exponation.
