McCann Systems and bluemedia Take Top Honors at 2018 APEX Awards

The first official day of Digital Signage Expo 2018 culminated with a Networking Reception poolside at Vegas’ own Renaissance Hotel and the APEX Award ceremony following directly after in the Renaissance Ballroom. bluemedia and McCann Systems took home the top prizes for “Super Bowl Live Water & Building Projection Show” and “150 Media Stream” respectively.

The Content of the Year crown now belongs to bluemedia. Wanting to make a splash at Super Bowl LI, the NFL enlisted GMR and bluemedia to come up with a unique way to help share the story of the league and team players’ journey on their way to the big game. Surveying and studying the layout of downtown Houston, the bluemedia team crafted the Super Bowl LI story into an unbelievable building and water projection show at Discovery Green Park, celebrating football and the Patriots/Falcons rivalry. The installation comes to life with customized work from several mixed media artists. For a deeper dive into this award-winning project, click here
