For National Tax Day, OUTFRONT worked with JetBlue and Scott Tax Group to execute campaigns leading up to the tax filing deadline of April 18.
In recent months, OUTFRONT’s in-house creative boutique OUTFRONT Studios has led content creation for multiple National Day out-of-home billboard campaigns, including Margarita Day, Proposal Day, Rare Disease Day, International Women’s Day, and most recently Tax Day. OUTFRONT also worked with H&R Block to promote creative around Tax Day, Crayola around National Crayon Day, and Anheuser-Busch around National Be(er) Responsible Day.

National Tax Day
The JetBlue #TaxReturnFlight competition is a “digital blitz” campaign that seeks to generate awareness and create buzz around JetBlue’s promotion, which will give customers the chance to win a one-way return flight by proving they are not eligible to receive an income tax return. Deployment began on April 10 in Boston and April 11 in NYC, and the digital billboards will be displayed across various digital properties in both cities and along major highways.
OUTFRONT Media’s creative boutique OUTFRONT Studios collaborated with Scott Tax Group to create a series of humorous billboards with the ominous #TaxDay Is Coming hashtag, inspired by the popular Game of Thrones tagline, alongside a countdown calculator for viewers to stay up-to-date on the deadline in real time.
National Days, Year Round
Brands and advertisers continue to choose out-of-home advertising to leverage National Days, as the medium has proven successful in both calculating a campaign’s reach through its advanced mobile and digital capabilities, and successfully reaching the largest pool of consumers who are often commuting and spending time outdoors.
For example, after running an out-of-home National Proposal Day campaign with OUTFRONT, Diamond Vault confirmed they saw reengagement from a previous clients, and extended its campaign with the company as a result. Additionally, Iavarone’s Italian Steak House worked with OUTFRONT on a campaign tied to National Meatball Day, located throughout their local Tampa market. As a result, the company’s social platform saw an increase of 120% in mentions over the four day campaign, reaching over 600,000 consumers*.
