Renault Deploys an International Digital Signage Network Powered by Media4Display


Car manufacturer since 1898, the Renault Group is an international multi-brand group. Present in 134 countries, the Groupe Renault sold nearly 3.8 million vehicles in 2017, a record year. Groupe Renault, Nissan Motor Company and Mitsubishi Motors represent the world’s largest automotive alliance. It is the longest-lasting and most productive cross-cultural partnership in the auto industry.

Wishing to replace its digital signage solution deployed in hundreds of dealerships across Europe that no longer met its needs, Renault looked for a solution:

  • Able to manage a minimum of 3 levels of management: Global, National, Dealers.
  • Intuitive and controllable by each dealership
  • Robust and scalable, able to manage and maintain around 10,000 devices
  • Able to control different types of devices and contents

After leading researches and shortlisting digital signage software editors, Renault finally chose Telelogos solution Media4Display, which met and satisfied its requirements.

Mastering an international digital signage network

Wherever the dealerships are located in Europe, Renault teams are now able to manage different types of devices: digital signage screens and wallscreens powered with Intel NUCs, interactive screens (Car Configurators), tablets running on Android and Windows.

In order to broadcast the right content at the right place, Media4Display makes it possible to condition the display of media according to criteria specific to Renault (specificity of dealerships, types of devices, language…)

Another key aspect of the project was to make it very easy to use the solution and to optimize handling time for non-experts. Media4Display scalabilty and role management feature answered this need : the interface adapts to each contributor profile (access to functionnalities access to different features depending on the level of contribution).

Managing thousands of devices

More than a digital signage software, Media4Display is also a device management solution. It gives Renault the possibilty to operate tasks such as system setup, data synchronization, remote installation/update of Windows and Android apps, monitor and secure devices…

The solution is also used to deploy, remotely manage and secure Windows and Android App kiosks, deployed on thousands of tablets available to dealerships’ customers. A soon as these devices are not used by customers. Media4Display automatically launches a digitial signage over the kiosk.
