Last Friday, November 3, 2017, marked the end of another successful New York Digital Signage Week. This five-day stretch jam-packed with digital signage events and experiences inspired by retail, digital out of home (DOOH) and smart city innovation, many of which were exclusive and invite only, reached a crescendo with a special surprise event at Scala’s 30th anniversary party in Times Square. Two stacked large-format displays located directly outside the venue switched to content celebrating Scala’s history – and most importantly, the company’s future – in digital signage.
The bottom display gave a fast-paced visual summation of Scala’s 1987 beginnings through the innovations created for clients today. The video was punctuated by messages of Scala’s future focus and outlook— applying intelligent analytics to drive “smarter signage,” delivering personalized experiences on any screen and ultimately increasing sales through measurable results. Guests took turns playing a retro-style video game on an iPad, created by the Scala Services team, with gameplay smoothly displayed in real time on the top portrait screen outside, grabbing the attention of partygoers and Times Square visitors alike.
A key portion of the team behind Digital Signage Expo, one of New York Digital Signage Week’s well-known sponsors, was able to attend the party and got a front-row seat. Check out the videos below for a more up-close-and-personal look at this larger-than-life display of interactive signage in action:
