Incentient creates curated interactive guest experiences for the premium hospitality industry, deployed exclusively on Apple iPads and installed at the world’s top resorts and hotels throughout 27 counties. The Colony Palm Beach first opened in 1947. This elegant, British colonial-style hotel is a block from upscale shopping on Worth Avenue, and a three-minute walk to the beach. It also offers colorful individually decorated rooms and suites, two pools and an on-site venue that hosts cabaret performances.
During a renovation, the client’s goal was to bring this iconoclastic property into the 21st century and leverage its premier location while maintaining the historic integrity of the brand. In time with the renovation, ownership wanted to be sure that their unique vision was extended not only through the in-room guest experience but seamlessly across every newly contemplated digital platform with consideration for their mainly older guest demographic.
The main challenge was to connect a historic brand with today’s luxury consumer by utilizing the best of todays’ technology for an intuitive in-room guest experience. The building posed challenges as an older structure with dense walls and little-to-no network infrastructure that was required to ensure a seamless experience throughout the vertical property and adjacent campus Villas.
Incentient designed an intuitive interactive curated experience utilizing The Colony’s historic lifestyle photography on the latest Apple iPads with video and sound capability to leverage their brand vision. In doing so, it allowed our client to better connect with the expectations of today’s luxury traveler. With minimal enhancement to the existing network and augmented access points, the installation runs seamlessly throughout the resort.
Incentient created a curated SmartTouch guest experience application installed on Apple iPads. Each guest room is installed with the iPad that functions exclusively as The Colony guest experience. The bespoke interactive application brings the services and amenities of the hotel experience to life. The client has gone green and has eliminated the need for printed collateral by implementing digital subscriptions for publications. Updates to information content and imagery are instantaneous and can be managed by the client.
The Colony participates as a member of the Incentient Luxury Resort Network, further monetizing its assets through in-room direct-to-guest advertising experiences. The implementation of the seamless application leverages the property’s premier location, which is steps from Worth Avenue. It creates a differentiated and memorable guest experience, directly connecting staff and luxury advertisers to guests, all while optimizing staff efficiencies and increasing revenue to the property’s bottom line.
