BACKGROUND
The football program administrators created the locker room of the future to boost morale of players and entice recruits to commit to the university. They wanted to integrate a robust digital signage platform to show content on commercial displays mounted on top of each players’ locker. They chose the Samsung Tizen PH43F screens equipped with PingHD’s EngagePHD software because the displays deliver unmatched reliability, flexibility and ease of use. The screens were installed during the locker room renovation that took place during the summer of 2017 and the players’ excitement and appreciation were evident during the big reveal.

CHALLENGES
While no challenges were faced during the completion of this integration, the team is confident that the EngagePHD software and Samsung Tizen PH43F screens will effectively mitigate problems should they arise in the future.

RESULTS
The Samsung PH43F screens equipped with PingHD’s EngagePHD software delivered on all expected fronts. The displays eliminated the need for any external media players, therefore reducing cost and failure rate. The EngagePHD software is designed to run natively on these screens, and with the web-based solution EngagePHD, the need for any further on-site servers are also eliminated thereby simplifying support and reducing cost. The displays support various types of content and allow the athletics department to schedule unique multi-zone data to individual screens or to synchronize across multiple screens. In addition, the EngagePHD software allows users to manage content from anywhere in the world through their electronic devices, and an intuitive UI minimizes the time needed for users to be trained on how to use the platform. The screens provide a holistic, solid solution that can be utilized for years to come.
