This project entailed the deployment of two kiosks running a custom wayfinding and general information application at Miami Dade College. The new wayfinding and information system is displayed on high-definition, 50-inch interactive monitors. The application provides information regarding class descriptions and campus information as well as interactive wayfinding functions.
The objective for this project was to create a platform for students and other guests to find information on the new animation and gaming department at Miami Dade College Wolfson Campus, MAGIC (Miami Animation and Gaming International Complex). The interactive kiosks provide wayfinding information for the campus as well as general information on classes and campus events. Finally, the kiosks display work done by the students at Miami Dade College.
The wayfinding and information kiosks enable students to locate classes with ease and offer inspiration for recruiting future students by displaying content made by current students. The impact of interactive kiosks in the new facility also mirror the technologically advanced nature of the animation and gaming program, and help to lead students through their degree program. Lastly, the ability to showcase student projects helps promote the importance of student success and helps to motivate success for students in the MAGIC program.
