Summary: This free webinar will discuss the ways in which higher education professionals are currently leveraging their digital signage infrastructures outside of their physical campuses, and going forward, how they foresee using digital signage differently when classes return to campus.

Moderated by Rhea Kelly, Executive Editor for Campus Technology, this 60-minute session will benefit higher education technologists, marketing and communications professionals responsible for their institution’s digital signage communications network.

Speaker Bios:

Steve "Chewie" Stavar - West Virginia University - DSE Advisory BoardSteve “Chewie” Stavar started working for the video production department at West Virginia University in 2006. He produced and assisted on the production of departmental, athletic, and national messaging for WVU. For the last three years Stavar has worked exclusively with the InfoStations. He also assists with hardware maintenance of the centralized system of over 100 monitors across three campuses, new installations, and internal sales of InfoStations while his main focus is running the content management software including template layout, creation of custom elements, and working with others in WVU’s University Relations department to further the internal and external messaging of the University.


Nate Morris has worked for the University of Nebraska since 2002, and has been involved in digital signage deployment and management since 2008. His role within the Services Management team of the system-wide IT organization is to oversee the digital signage solution for all four University of Nebraska campuses.


Jon Cheatwood has worked as an AV Technician for the University of Notre Dame since 2015, providing classroom technical support. He currently does digital maintenance for the AV Technologies team, and he has just begun to add digital signage to his service ownership.


Dr. Elizabeth Cornell is the director of internal communications for Fordham IT; a current project is overseeing implementation of new campus digital signage. She supports digital scholarship at Fordham and for the NYC Digital Humanities group. She also serves on the board of directors for the Live Source Theatre Group.
