Summary: The Internet of Things (IoT) will soon be integrated into our everyday lives at home and in the physical world to enhance urban living by bringing emerging technologies to public spaces in cities around the world. By allowing media sellers and buyers to take advantage of better targeting capabilities, data generated from smart devices along with more and more Wi-Fi hot spots, beacons and web cams can enable connected digital displays to run content that changes based on conditional triggers in near real time. By using these data sources at the right time and right place, audiences can be hyper targeted in ways that seemed like science fiction just a few years ago.
